El Papalote means "The Windmill". You'll see the Windmill on 1604 near StoneOak Blvd. A very nice, authentic Mexican Restaurant. I mean "Authentic". Let me make this very clear! It's a lot more than a taco & grill. There are 13 locations in the northern part of Mexico and one of our very own right here
Phil Yamin's TOP DISH:
~ TOP DISH ~ Let me just say "WOW". Incredible, fantastic! My Top Dish this month is the Lasagna Famosa atLuciano's Neighborhood Pizzeria and Restaurant . I've eaten lasagna all over the country and never have I had lasagna this great. It's beautiful, tasty and fresh. The sauce, the meat, the cheese, "fabulous". Nonna Lina Centofanti, from Naples italy, where Pizza originated, taught her children.
~ ITALIAN PASSION ~ Gennaro, Luciano and Bianca valuable skills on how to create authentic Italian specialties with a true Italian passion. The pizza without a doubt is absolutely the best in town. Awarded best pizza by Vera Nepoletana, certified worldwide. It is New York pizza at it's finest!
~ LOCATIONS ~ Luciano's has 11 locations and three of them are in the Stoneoak area. Huebner at Churchill, Stoneoak Parkway at Sonterra Blvd. and 281 at Evans.
~ WOW! ~ Stoneoak location has superb table service... When you're downtown there's Luciano's on the Riverwalk.... When you enter Luciano's your eyes feast on the wonderful display of fresh salads, calzones, stromboli, panini's and pizza... It gets to your eyes before it gets to your heart. Homemade fresh, rich, red marinara sauce, 100% natural 100% semolina and delicious melted mozzarella.
~ AUTHENTIC ~ People are speaking Italian, the TV's have Italian soaps and videos going on and there is also live entertainment to go along with a favorite Italian desert. This is true italian authenticity. The service is friendly and fun.
* Make sure you go to Luciano's and tell them Phil sent you for the Top Dish. Lasagna Famosa. Call 210 495 0188 for more info.

Dip into Something Different!
San Antonio's most unique dining experience is at The Melting Pot 14855 Blanco Rd. at Bitters. The Melting Pot will show you the true meaning of dining out not just eating. My Top Dish is the Pacific Island Big Night Out. This is a "WOW" for a fabulous romantic evening with someone special. There's even a Lovers Lane. Stir things up with
Amorcito means Love. And you are going to love Amorcito's Restauranton N. 1604 just off Bitters. Amorcito's is more than a Mexican Restaurant. First of all it's a beautiful new Spanish looking building that is highly visable from the loop. The cuisine is incredibly delicious, consistent and the service is impeccable
